HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN IN THE SUMMER? TOP 5 BEST TIPS
- Wear sunscreen
Whether you’re indoors or outside, sunscreen is a daily need for all skin tones. Because our skin works to protect us from dangerous ultraviolet radiation, we should apply sunscreen to shield ourselves from these harmful rays. Sunscreen also helps you battle wrinkles early and prevents premature aging. Even on cloudy days, our skin is vulnerable to the sun’s rays, which can cause skin cancer, discoloration, and wrinkles over time, therefore sunscreen is a must. Never leave the house without broad-spectrum sunscreen on your face.
- Have a proper skincare routine
Choose those products as your skincare that are suitable for your skin type and follow three main steps.
Step 1: Cleanse- Morning and night, use the right cleansing product and use it to wash your face for at most 60 seconds to clean the dirt and pollution off your face. Washing your face with a cleanser removes excess sebum, oil, and dirt, which can leave your skin looking dull and dehydrated. So, incorporating a harsh-free cleanser is a must if you want to see good results
Step 2: Treat- Depending on your skin type and the results you want to see, use serums or creams that are packed with helpful skincare components like vitamin C, green tea extracts, retinol, alpha hydroxy acids, niacinamide, and others Put on a facemask of your choice if you want to pamper your skin even more.
Step 3: Moisturize- Use a moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and nourished. Using calming ingredients will allow your skin to breathe and stay plump.
- Stay in the shade
Summer is all about scorching sun and excessive sweating, so wear sun-protective clothing, broad hats, and sunglasses when you’re out in the sun. Sun damage and excessive tanning can occur when your skin is exposed to the sun directly. Try to sit in the shade as much as possible, and remember to apply sunscreen every two hours. Additional tip: Bring an umbrella!
- Wear minimal makeup
Wear moisturizing makeup products instead of heavy makeup to avoid clogging your pores. Sweat and heat can cause your face to get cakey and greasy. Instead of foundation, try a light BB cream and a few products on your skin. Protect your lips with an SPF-containing gloss or lip balm, and your skin will thank you later.
- Hydration is a must
Drinking water can help wash out toxins and avoid dehydration. Carry a water bottle with you wherever you go, and remember to drink every 30 minutes. To maintain a normal temperature and increase energy, you must drink at least 8 glasses of water.
